(1) the inability to process sensory information
(2)  Ancient Greek ἀγνωσία, “ignorance”, “absence of knowledge”
(3) unknowning, divine darkness

“Exquisitely observed, intimately felt, and achingly relatable…. Agnosia now carries with it a third meaning: the name of the first great Los Angeles immersive of 2018.”
–Chris Wollman, Haunting

“Yetter and Loesch have a dynamic that feeds off each other, even when they can’t directly acknowledge the other’s presence. The way that the piece plays their words off each other reminded me of a mixmaster keeping two turntables in flow: the strophe/anti-strophe of a Greek chorus in miniature. There is great precision here, with the Ceaseless Fun team hitting their stride in the one-on-one dynamic.”
–Noah Nelson, No Proscenium

“the gate opens, and I’m back in the real world with a different outlook on life and death. What a difference 25 minutes makes.”

Agnosia, a short form experience, asks a single audience member to step into a home turned upside-down by loss. Memory, recognition, and even sensory-experience all become unreliable as the audience is asked to examine how unexpected tragedy is absorbed into one’s own identity and narrative.
